Admission Procedure

Sri Venkateswara College of Education follows a transparent and streamlined admission process for its B.Ed. and M.Ed. programs, adhering to the norms and guidelines set by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

For B.Ed. Program

- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university.
- A minimum aggregate percentage as specified by TNTEU norms is required for eligibility.
- Candidates must have studied at least one school subject as their major subject in graduation.

For M.Ed. Program

- Candidates must hold a B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
- A minimum aggregate percentage as prescribed by TNTEU is mandatory.

Application Process

Availability of Application Forms
- Application forms are available at the college office or can be downloaded from the official website.
- Interested candidates can also request forms via mail or obtain them in person.

Submission of Application
- Complete the application form with accurate details and attach the required documents (see below).
- Submit the form either in person or via post to the college's admission office within the stipulated deadline.

Application Fee
Pay the application fee as specified in the admission notification. The fee can be paid via demand draft, bank transfer, or in cash at the college office.

Selection Process
Merit-Based Admission

- Admissions are primarily based on merit, calculated using the candidate’s academic performance in qualifying examinations.

Entrance Test (if applicable)

-Some candidates may need to appear for an entrance test conducted by the institution or the affiliating university, depending on the course requirements.

Interview and Counseling

- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview and counseling session to verify eligibility and finalize their admission.

Documents Required

Candidates must submit the following documents along with their application:

- Original and photocopy of mark sheets (Class X, Class XII, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate, if applicable).
- Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate from the last attended institution.
- Community Certificate (if applicable).
- Aadhar Card or any government-issued ID for identification.
- Passport-sized photographs (as specified).
- Migration Certificate (for candidates from universities other than TNTEU).

Admission Confirmation

1. Fee Payment
- Upon selection, candidates must pay the admission fees to confirm their seat within the specified timeline.
- Fees can be paid via cash, demand draft, or online payment systems.
2. Issuance of Admission Letter
- After fee payment, the college will issue an official admission letter, confirming the student’s enrollment.
